A contingent of 40 Ukrainian troops serving in Kosovo as part of the KFOR mission will not leave Kosovo to return to Ukraine, a NATO official said.
A NATO official added that they welcomed Ukraine’s continued contribution to the KFOR mission.
“The Ukrainian contingent continues to serve as part of the NATO-led KFOR mission and under the auspices of the United Nations. We welcome Ukraine’s continued contribution to our mission and its day-to-day efforts to support all communities living in Kosovo and to strengthen stability throughout the Western Balkans,” he said.
We recall that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Donika Gervalla, stated on Monday that Kosovo will soon suspend the transit visa regime for Ukrainian citizens and that it will create conditions for housing the families of Ukrainian soldiers in Kosovo.
