Analyst Mujanovic: Dodik showed today that he can create a border within Bosnia and Herzegovina by force

The sixth parade in a row to mark the unconstitutional “RS Day” took place today in East Sarajevo. Members of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska marched through the parade, which was organised in Stefan Nemanja Street in East Sarajevo. In addition to them, civil associations, firefighters, forestry associations, representatives of health institutions and mountaineering associations, among others, were present.

In addition to the above, the Night Wolves, a motorcycle organisation that promotes and defends Russian interests and is joined by many individuals from the criminal milieu, also took a walk.

The entire focus of BiH publicity was directed precisely at this apparent form of celebration of an unconstitutional and segregationist “holiday”, while something much more important and dangerous went past the public radar – the self-initiated blocking/closing of the entity line by the authorities of Republika Srpska.

Jasmin Mujanovic, a prominent Bosnian political scientist, pointed this out tonight.

“These photos from the ‘Istraga’ portal today show how the special police of the Republika Srpska entity blocked all main roads between Sarajevo and East Sarajevo (in the RS entity), where today’s secessionist, triumphalist paramilitary marches took place. These concrete actions are extremely important,” Mujanovic noted and then stated:

“One of the fundamental provisions of the Dayton Agreement is freedom of movement throughout the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. With these checkpoints, Dodik is demonstrating his ability and willingness to create internal ‘borders’ within BiH by (threat of) force,” Mujanović added.

Mujanovic points out that Dodik tested the determination of EUFOR, NATO and the BiH security services to defend freedom of movement in the country with today’s performance.

That none of them did anything to even challenge this show of force was a categorical mistake. Dodik will feel very encouraged after today.
