In the latest wave of propaganda and spreading misinformation, Serbian authorities and media are once again inciting hatred and fear towards Albanians with the aim of increasing tensions between Serbia and Kosovo. The target of their campaign this time is Denis Krasniqi, the young man from Kosovo who lives in Switzerland, is a person with special needs and is 90% disabled.
It was the Serbian ministers Ivica Dacic and Marko Gjuric who declared that the person in question had threatened Serbian embassies in two European countries, which is being pursued by the media under various disinformation titles.
“Serbian embassies targeted by Shiptars (Albanians)“, ‘Targets hang on embassies’, ‘Kurti terrorist: in 24 hours we will drop a bomb’, Shiptars (Albanians attack Serbian embassy in Europe)” were some of these propaganda and disinformation headlines.
Djuriq said:
“At least one perpetrator of these threats has been identified. You just know how they do it, it’s a scenario that already existed in the eighties and nineties. They choose a person who has had mental health problems in the past, for example. Then they push that person to evade legal responsibility and the hand of the law, and organized groups acting for political reasons often hide in the background.”

Dacic said:
“Regarding the threatening emails from Belgrade airport, our embassies and consulates in Austria and Germany, as well as the Belgrade Center for Security Policy, the Ministry of Interior has received official information from Germany and Switzerland that the person contained in them is Denis Krasniqi (26), from Switzerland, whose parents are from Kosovo. The person is currently in Kosovo and has been ordered to report to the police immediately upon his return to Switzerland.

Analysis:
Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Gjuric and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic accused Denis Krasniqi of allegedly planning terrorist attacks as a member of an “Albanian organization”. These allegations quickly spread through the Serbian media, led by the regime’s channels, with sensationalist headlines stating that the alleged threat was part of a wider terror plot against Serbia.
According to the family, Krasniqi has mental health problems and has no connection to terrorist activities.
While the media in Serbia is making dramatic claims about organized terrorist attacks sponsored by Kosovo, the truth is that they are actually working to raise tensions and divert attention from the political problems and discontent in Serbia./G. Venhari – The Geopost/
