Margetić publishes documents about "Sarajevo Safari" again, Vučić is mentioned

Croatian investigative journalist Domagoj Margetić has published new claims related to a document cited as part of a secret archive linked to Slavko Aleksić, raising allegations of alleged meetings and connections between Serbian paramilitary groups and Russian volunteers during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to Margetić, the document dated April 17, 1993, titled "Naredba" and referred to by protocol number 132-04/93, constitutes an important clue in the investigation of, as he claims, the organization and logistics of activities during the siege of Sarajevo in the 90s, including the participation of high-profile individuals.

In the same context, he emphasizes that the meeting was also attended by Russian volunteers led by Igor Girkin (later known as Igor Strelkov), who is today associated with Russian military and intelligence structures.

Margetić adds that security for the meeting was provided by Zlatko Novković, who later, according to him, also acted as a volunteer on the side of the forces linked to Strelkov.

In one of the most sensitive parts of his statements, the Croatian journalist says that Aleksandar Vučić, as well as Ljuban Ečim, a former member of the security structures of Republika Srpska, were also present at this meeting.

According to him, this constitutes a wider network of connections between different actors in the war in Bosnia, which, as Margetić claims, may have continued in the decades after the conflict.

Margetić suggests that these connections indicate a combination of intelligence services, paramilitary formations, and political actors of the time, which operated in parallel on the battlefield in Sarajevo.
