Serbian ambassador supports Russian disinformation

The Serbian ambassador to Russia, Momcilo Babić, welcomed the Russian disinformation about the West published the previous day by the Russian secret service and stated: “Serbia has taken into account the information from the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) that European countries are preparing a ‘Serbian Maidan’.”

According to Russian media, Babić said Serbia was following the reports and information from the Russian intelligence services very closely and emphasized the close relations between the two countries.

“I know that these are the best intelligence services in the world, and it would be completely pointless to ignore them. Everything that Mr. Naryshkin and his colleagues say is very important to us. We study and respect it,” Babić said.

He even claimed that “some countries in the European Union are openly working against Serbia, while others are not cooperating.”

“For example, Slovakia, Hungary, Cyprus, and Malta are friendly and brotherly countries to us. Therefore, we also have brotherly countries in the EU, and we cannot blame them,” he said.
