US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has spoken out about the Iran war during the September 11th memorial ceremony.
The US and Israel began the conflict in February, attacking Iran and killing many of its leaders.
Pete Hegseth linked the September 11 attacks and the US response to them to the Iran war, saying:
"Over the past six months, we have destroyed the most prolific state sponsor of terrorism in the world. Our fighters have fought against an Islamic theocracy that has wished us dead for nearly half a century. They cheered 9/11," Hegseth declared.
But according to him, they "didn't take this president into account."
He then vowed: "We will finish this battle."
