Nenad Rasic, recently elected as deputy speaker of the Kosovo Assembly from the Serb community, has announced that he and his associates have been contacted by people with phone numbers from Serbia, just days before the elections.
In a press conference, Rasic shared some of the cases and circumstances of these calls, raising concerns about the motives behind them.
Speaking about some published audio recordings, Rasic said that his associates were threatened by a person who called from a number from Serbia, inviting them to go to Belgrade for cooperation.
Rašić said that he has reported the case to the competent authorities, while at the end he made a plea for Serbian citizens who have Kosovo documents and do not live here.
“They were given an ultimatum to come to Belgrade within two days for their own good. As they were told. It was Thursday, the meeting was scheduled for Saturday. The voice they addressed them with was threatening and commanding. None of my associates responded to this call,” Rasic said.
After his associates did not respond to the request of the person Rasic claims to have contacted them, in the first week of August, the same number sent them a message, according to him, “You did not want to cooperate, and from now on we will reveal some compromising things about you to the public.”
