According to media reports, the former chairman of the Serbian List, Goran Rakić, did not show up for an interview with the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo for the second time.
The Special Prosecutor’s Office of Kosovo announced that Goran Rakić did not appear for the final hearing scheduled for June 18, 2025.
The Special Prosecutor’s Office announced that Rakić was initially summoned for questioning, but then presented a medical report stating that he had health problems that prevented him from attending.
However, in response to the second summons from the public prosecutor’s office on June 18, which now reached him as a member of the Serbian National Assembly, Rakić gave no explanation for his absence.
“With regard to the case to which your question refers, we inform you that when Mr. Goran Rakić was first summoned, he informed the Special Prosecutor’s Office in a medical report that he had health problems and could not appear for questioning. The Special Prosecutor’s Office summoned him again for June 18, but he has not yet submitted an excuse for his failure to appear,” said Arbnora Luta, spokeswoman for the Special Prosecutor’s Office.
She announced that the Special Prosecutor’s Office would soon set a new date for the hearing.
We recall that two days ago, the interrogation of the chairman of the Serbian List, Zlatan Elek, was also postponed due to the erection of barricades in the north two years ago.
“The interrogation of Mr. Elek was postponed to another date at the request of the defense for health reasons of his lawyer,” confirmed the Special Prosecutor’s Office /The Geopost/.
