On the eve of the parliamentary elections in Kosovo, scheduled for February 9, 2025, the Russian media outlet Sputnik Serbia has misinformed by claiming "damage" to the Serbian List, which enjoys the support of Belgrade and Russia.
As Sputnik Serbia writes:
Analyze:
At the invitation of the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, the European Union sent more than 200 observers to guarantee the transparency and regularity of the elections in Kosovo. The mission will be led by Natalie Loiseau, a member of the European Parliament, who will lead a team of experts tasked with monitoring every aspect of the electoral process.
Voting centers will be under video surveillance, while all voters will have to register and follow voting procedures to prevent possible double voting or manipulation.
Despite these steps, the Serbian List continues to spread disinformation and “irregularities” in an attempt to portray the elections as unfair. However, official data from the European Union and Kosovo institutions do not indicate any irregularities.
