Chargé d'Affaires at the United States Embassy in Kosovo, Anu Prattipati, has reaffirmed Washington's support for Kosovo, emphasizing that the partnership between the two countries is based on shared values, mutual respect, and a vision for a secure and prosperous future.
At the ceremony organized to mark the 250th anniversary of US Independence, Prattipati said that America's history is not built only within its borders, but also through alliances and friendships with partners around the world, highlighting relations with Kosovo.
"Few friendships reflect this spirit better than the one built between the United States and the people of Kosovo. Kosovo has always stood by the United States, supporting our priorities, and the United States stands by Kosovo in building democratic institutions and developing a prosperous economy," Prattipati declared.
She added that the US looks forward to further strengthening the partnership with Kosovo, especially in the areas of trade, investment, defense, and energy.
“A stable, democratic and prosperous Kosovo is not only good for its citizens, but also for Europe and the world. As Kosovo continues to develop and deepen its integration into the international community, the opportunities for cooperation – particularly in defence, trade, economic investment and energy – are limitless,” she said.
Prattipati also praised Kosovo's commitment to the Fulbright program, investments in innovation, and its role in the security field, describing the country as a future partner and leader in the region.
During the ceremony, the SideRunner, a dual-use unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), was officially introduced, and the start of its production in Kosovo was announced.
According to the organizers, SideRunner is the result of a strategic partnership between the American company Stridar Inc. and Stridar Kosovo LLC, combining American technology and innovation with Kosovo's engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
As part of this collaboration, Kosovo will play a key role in the production and export of the SideRunner platform to customers in Europe, the United States, the Middle East and other international markets.
