The United Kingdom's representative to the United Nations Security Council has called for as many UN member states as possible to recognize Kosovo as a state, emphasizing that such a step is essential for long-term stability in the region.

She recalled that the United Kingdom was among the first countries to recognize Kosovo's independence, assessing that the recognition process remains important for the international consolidation of the state of Kosovo.

During her speech, she also evaluated the electoral processes in Kosovo, and mentioned solutions for the implementation of the Law on Foreigners as a constructive step.

At the same time, the British representative reiterated her call to Serbia to reduce tensions and bring those responsible for the attack in Banjska to justice.

"We continue to call on Kosovo and Serbia to implement existing agreements and resolve disagreements through EU-facilitated dialogue," she stated.

She has again mentioned the attack in Banjska, demanding that its perpetrators, including Milan Radoicic, face justice in Serbia.

"More than two years after the attack in Banjska, we reiterate our call for Serbia to hold the perpetrators, including Radoicic, accountable," the British representative said.
