The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has said that the murder in the north was “planned, orchestrated and executed by Serbian criminal gangs”.
“These attacks prove once again the destabilizing power of criminal gangs, organized by Serbia, which for a long time, as has been proven with the attacks on KFOR members, journalists and citizens, are aiming to destabilize Kosovo and the region”, she said among other things.
The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, has asked the United States and the European Union to condemn Serbia for, as he said, “this open aggression against Kosovo”.
The American ambassador in Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, has strongly condemned the “violent and orchestrated” attacks on the Kosovo Police on September 24 in the north.
“The Kosovo Police has full legitimacy to guarantee the rule of law, in accordance with the Constitution and the laws of Kosovo. We accept and respect its role as the first response to emergencies and crisis situations”, said Ambassador Hovenier.
Official Belgrade has warned about these riots after the failure of the meeting in Brussels.
