Last night, the Kosovo police prevented a terrorist attack in the north of the country. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Sveçla.
He said that “thanks to the intensive commitment of the specialized units of the Kosovo Police and the information/intelligence received, a car with Belgrade license plates was identified today, about 100m from the Municipality of Zveçan, in which large quantities of weapons were discovered, explosive devices and various ammunition, including Zoll, OSA, explosives, automatic weapons, significant amount of ammunition, stun bombs, military uniforms and bags”.
Regarding this situation, Sveçla held a press conference today, where he emphasized that “the rule of law is a priority for us, on the basis of which we are acting”, adding that the sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo is inviolable.
Minister Sveçla announced that within this arsenal of weapons there are signs that are related to, as he said, illegal groups such as: ‘Northern Brigade’, distinguishing signs of Russian units, radios similar to those confiscated in Aleksandar Filipović’s office, (former head of the Operative unit in the Northern Regional Directorate, awarded by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić), in Leposavic.
Furthermore, Minister Sveçla announced that in the coming days the Government of Kosovo will request that organizations such as: “Civil Defense” and “Northern Brigada” be declared terrorist organizations, thus the fight against these organizations will be even more efficient. /TheGeopost/
