
The Kosovo police have said that one of the attackers in the north, namely in the area of the village of Banjska, was killed in the exchange of gunfire with police officials.
Earlier, as a result of the terrorist attacks, one police officer was killed and two others were injured on Sunday morning.
Through a press release, the Police said that the situation there continues to be tense, and the groups, which this institution has considered as criminal, are attacking police units in the field.
“Professional attackers, in significant numbers, masked and uniformed with different uniforms, armed with heavy weapons, grenades, military tools (zolla), some armored vehicles, are using different private spaces and facilities, including in and around the Monastery in Banjska, to carry out movement, accommodation and positioning for shooting with KP police units”, the communique said.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has called on these attackers a little while ago to surrender, as they are surrounded by police officials.
