Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has issued a new nuclear threat to Western countries, stating that Moscow could use its nuclear arsenal in the event of a threat to its territory.
Ryabkov stated at the economic forum in St. Petersburg that the so-called "violation of Russia's territorial integrity" could, in the worst case, lead to the use of nuclear weapons.
On this occasion, he has sent an open warning to countries that Moscow considers adversaries.
"Russia's opponents should take Moscow's warnings very seriously and not test Russia's determination to defend itself with all available means," Ryabkov declared, repeating the Kremlin's threatening rhetoric.
