With ultranationalist songs and chants, Serbian right-wing groups have protested near the border crossing Jarinje, located in the Serbian part.
These groups have made this protest to support the barricades that have been placed by the Serbs in the north of Kosovo, and that are being supported by the regime of Aleksandar Vucic, writes The Geopost.
Serbian police have created a cordon near the border with Kosovo.
The call for the protest was made by right-wing groups such as the “National Patrol” as well as a call for other supporters from Serbia, Montenegro and Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina to join the organization.
Among them is Damjan Knezevic, head of the unofficial far-right group “National Patrol” from Serbia.
The “National Patrol” is known for its actions against immigrants, for glorifying Serbian war criminals and supporting Russia in its war in Ukraine.
The organization is linked to the far-right group “Rusov” and the Russian paramilitary group Wagner, whom he recently visited in Russia.
In some images published on online platforms, protesters can be heard insisting on approaching the border point where troops from NATO’s KFOR mission can be seen.
Some of the roads in northern Kosovo remain closed for the ninth consecutive day as a result of the erection of barricades by local Serbs backed by Belgrade. /The Geopost/
