The terrorist attack in Banjska showed that Serbian List is involved in planning to destabilize Kosovo and the region, with its vice president Milan Radoicic taking responsibility for organizing and carrying out this attack.
Now the main Belgrade-controlled party of Kosovo Serbs is trying to improve its image, although the successors of the party leaders do not differ in ideology from their predecessors.
Zlatan Elek was unanimously elected as the new president of the Serb List in Kosovo. Elek is the acting director of the Clinical Hospital Center in North Mitrovica.
He was elected during an open vote at the meeting of the Serbian List Assembly in North Mitrovica on Tuesday, where the Serbian List also elected its new president. The previous leader of the Serbian List was Goran Rakić.
Elek, who has ties to Belgrade, had attended a ceremony commemorating Bosnia’s constitutional violation known as Republika Srpska Day in January 2023 at the invitation of Milorad Dodik, the president of that entity, which is under U.S. sanctions.
Elek was part of a delegation consisting of representatives of the Serbian List, including former deputy of the Assembly of Kosovo and former minister in the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, Ivan Todosijevic, former mayor of the municipality of Zvecan and mayor of the administrative district of Mitrovica, Vučina Janković, former mayor of the municipality of Zvecan, Dragiša Milović.
There is no doubt that the representatives of the Serbian List met with Milorad Arlov, the president of the “Committee for Kosovo Assistance” of Banja Luka, who was repeatedly banned from entering Kosovo, as well as Dodik, because of provocative and nationalistic statements.
In the hall where the parade celebrating the Day of Republika Srpska took place, footage clearly showed Ivan Todosijević, who was sentenced to one year in prison for hate speech in a statement about Recak, sitting next to Milorad Avrov.
Elek, along with others, thanked Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and the Board for the invitation. There, Elek had thanked Dodik for publicly appointing a transport incubator for the hospital in Mitrovica at the donor dinner on December 26.
During the stay of the Serbian List representatives in Republika Srpska, whose goal was to “flatter” Dodik and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the rest of the Serbian List officials remained in Kosovo to deceive the West.
Serbian List secretly sent its officials to Republika Srpska, active as usual in social networks and publish there their activities, but also quick “reactions” when it came to them, then Serbian List had tried to hide it and none of them brags about participation in the ceremony organized by Milorad Dodik.
In May 2020, the Serbian government appointed pediatric surgeon Zlatan Elek as acting director of the Clinical Hospital Center in North Mitrovica. This facility, like other health facilities in Serb-inhabited areas in Kosovo, operates under the Serbian system.
Meanwhile, Elek participated in the rallies organized by Serbian List, including the one on November 6, 2022, the day after the Serbs withdrew from Kosovo’s institutions in the north.
Afterwards, he said in his speech that “we survived thanks to the support of our leadership, especially President Aleksandar Vučić.”
Ellek is in the same line with Belgrade’s propaganda that claims that Serbs are being discriminated in Kosovo. Recently, he stressed that health facilities in Serb areas of Kosovo are facing a “humanitarian catastrophe” due to “Kurti’s terror.”
He said that Kosovar authorities do not allow the import of medicines and medical materials, which Kosovo’s Ministry of Health has denied./The Geopost/
