Bratislav Živković, leader of the Serbian Chetniks and participant in the erection of barricades in northern Kosovo and organizer of sending Serbian mercenaries to the war front in Ukraine, was killed in the Russian counteroffensive in the Kursk region.
Živković began his pro-Russian career in 2012, when he participated in the erection of barricades in northern Kosovo.
The leader of the Serbian Chetniks had spent three days in North Macedonia, during which he also visited the Kumanovo district, where the fighting took place in May 2015. During his stay there, Živković met with representatives of Serbian associations and appointed the Chetnik commander for the Kumanovo region.
After the Kumanovo conflict, Živković had declared that he would organize volunteers from Serbia to fight the Albanians. He also attempted to cross the border at the Presevo-Kumanovo border crossing, but was denied entry by Serbian police. He was banned from entering 15 NATO member states. His murder was also reported in Serbian media.
