Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić met with the First Deputy Prime Minister of China, Ding Xuexiang, and said that China had declared its support for safeguarding Serbia’s territorial integrity as well as “for helping Serbia to prevent foreign interference”, which he said was a matter of course.
Vucic has accused the West of a “color revolution” amid protests by opposition students demanding political and criminal responsibility for the Novi Sad train station concrete shelter collapse on November 1 that killed 15 people and injured 15 others.
At this meeting, Vučić also supported China’s policy towards Taiwan.
“We also discussed political issues and I expressed my full support for the resolution of the Taiwan issue by the People’s Republic of China in accordance with the principles of the one-China policy.” The Chinese have unequivocally expressed their support for the preservation of Serbia’s territorial integrity, including Kosovo as part of ours. We also talked about things in our country, where the Chinese side has decided very clearly to support the state of Serbia and the non-interference of foreign factors, which is evident in our conditions,” Vucic told reporters in Davos.
In Davos, Vucic declared, “I will definitely have to talk to Putin soon.” /The Geopost/
