Soldiers of the Regional Command East (RC-E), within the framework of the NATO-led mission in Kosovo – KFOR, have conducted airlift exercises of equipment together with members of the Danish Armed Forces at the “Novo Selo” camp.
According to a KFOR statement, the exercises aimed to advance capabilities for the safe transportation of equipment and support of operations in the region.
"Soldiers of the Regional Command East conducted sling-load training together with Danish Armed Forces personnel at Camp Novo Selo, to improve their ability to safely airlift equipment and support operations in the region," the release said.
KFOR has emphasized that these activities enhance cooperation between multinational forces and improve the safe transportation of equipment and supplies in difficult conditions.
"These activities improve interoperability between multinational forces and strengthen KFOR's operational capacity, reflecting the continued commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo," the announcement further states.
Finally, KFOR recalled that it continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244, in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo, EULEX.
