The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, is paying an official visit to Washington D.C., where she was received by the US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, Victoria Nuland. The senior US official expressed Washington’s appreciation to Kosovo for its readiness to shelter Afghan migrants this summer. ” The United States thanks Kosovo for its early and generous support to temporarily host relocated Afghans,” Nuland wrote on twitter.
She stressed that a wide range of topics where discussed in the meeting with the President of Kosovo. “I welcomed the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, to discuss a wide range of common priorities, including the rule of law, energy and the normalization of relations with Serbia,” Nuland wrote.
