The US insist that there is no clear evidence of the withdrawal of Russian troops from the borders of Ukraine and that Putin can attack it at any moment.
The US still insists that a Russian attack on Ukraine is very likely and does not move from the position that all remaining US citizens should leave Ukraine. Even the US Embassy has been evacuated from Kiev in the direction of Lviv.
Kristina Kvien, the US ambassador to Ukraine, acknowledged that the Americans had destroyed sensitive documents and removed computer servers before leaving the Ukrainian capital.
Asked in an interview with Fox News if Putin was bluffing at the threat of invasion of Ukraine, the ambassador said: “I’m afraid not.”
She also stressed that there is no evidence of withdrawal of Russian troops near Ukraine and that over 150,000 military forces are still ready to attack.
President Biden and Secretary Blinken have recently stated that a Russian attack is possible and have called on Russia to calm the situation by withdrawing troops.
