Russian forces have attacked the Red Cross building in the besieged and ruined city of Mariupol, Kiev said on Wednesday.
“In Mariupol, the occupiers hit the building of the International Committee of the Red Cross,” said Ukrainian People’s Advocate Lyudmyla Denisova.
In the statement posted on social networks, she added that the building has been hit by airstrikes and artillery.
The port city of Mariupol is surrounded by Russian forces and close to 160,000 civilians are estimated to have remained stranded, without access to drinking water, food and other basic supplies.
