The institutions of Kosovo have banned the entry of Serbs Dimitrije Markovic and Nenad Jeremic into our country.
According to the announcement of the Government, the decision was taken because of their activity against the sovereignty and national security of the Republic of Kosovo.
Also, it is known that Markovic and Jeremic are known for pro-Russian elements, while using the cover of humanitarian activities, they have continuously spread propaganda against Kosovo, thus inciting inter-ethnic hatred, with the aim of damaging the country’s image and presenting of the state of the Serbian community in Kosovo.
“In July of this year, the European Union drew attention to the increased risk from extreme right-wing groups in the Western Balkans region”, the press release of the Government of Kosovo states.
“One of the detainees has continuously been a companion and member of the far-right organization “European Solidarity Front for Kosovo (ESFK)” during their visits to Kosovo, composed of Czech, German, and other citizens. This organization promotes anti-Western sentiments while supporting close ties with Russia.”
“ESFK was classified among the right-wing extremist movements in the “Report on extremism in the territory of the Czech Republic”, published in 2013 by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic”, adds the Government.
In 2019, the security bodies of Kosovo had detained eight members of this organization, who had planned to fly a drone over the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium with the inscription “Kosovo is Serbia”.
“Dogodine u Prizrenu” (next year in Prizren), is one of the many photos with the background of Russian President Vladimir Putin, published on Markovic’s social network.
“Furthermore, Markovic is also known for close relations with officials of the Liaison Office of the Russian Federation in Kosovo, respectively with the former head of this office, Andrei Lisovoi”, the announcement concludes.
On August 7 of this year, the Kosovo authorities declared the Russian journalist, Daria Aslamova, an unwanted person and banned her from entering Kosovo for five years, after she was arrested in the north of the country for several hours. /The Geopost/
