Albania will close the TikTok platform for one year.
According to the decision taken by the Albanian government at its meeting on Thursday, the cybersecurity agency will close the TikTok platform to all Albanian users within about a week.
Further details were announced by the Albanian Minister of Education, Ogerta Manastirliu.
“We have conducted extensive consultations with parents about the safety of children in the digital environment and the impact of social media platforms on the psycho-emotional state of children. They were in favor of closing or restricting TikTok.”
