
Kosovo police detained three people in Gracanica on Wednesday evening and confiscated materials with nationalist content.
According to a police report, a Mazda vehicle with Serbian license plates was first identified and stopped in the Gracanica area.
According to the police, there were three people of Serbian nationality in the vehicle with the initials L.D. (23 years old), J.P. (23 years old) and D.D. (22 years old).
“During the search of the vehicle and the persons, several posters and inscriptions with nationalist content were found, as well as a drone device located inside the vehicle,” it said.
The suspects were escorted to the Gracanica police station, where all necessary procedural steps were taken.
The case was handled in cooperation with the public prosecutor’s office and a preliminary investigation was initiated against the suspects for the following criminal offense:
“Incitement to national, racial, religious or ethnic hatred, discord or intolerance” – according to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The Kosovo Police remains committed to maintaining public order and security, while appealing to citizens to cooperate and report any acts or incidents that violate public security and order.
