Ukraine and Russia have not made any progress on the negotiations that took place in Turkey, confirmed the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytryo Kuleba.
Kuleba has said that no agreement was reached with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.
“I came here with a humanitarian proposal, to leave the meeting with a decision to arrange a humanitarian corridor to and from Mariupol. But there was no agreement achieved” said Kuleba.
The parties agreed to work on finding a solution to humanitarian issues in the upcoming days.
Kuleba has said he is ready to meet with Lavrov again “if there are prospects for a solution.”
He added that organizing a humanitarian corridor from Mariupol and achieving a 24-hour ceasefire are the two priorities of the negotiations.
On the other hand, Ukraine is opening seven humanitarian corridors on Thursday to help civilians leave the country, including Mariupol, said MP Iryna Vereshchuk.
