The Ukrainian ambassador in Belgrade: Serbia continues to cooperate with Moscow

The Ukrainian ambassador stated that Kiev relies on the help of allied countries and is unable to defend itself.

“I hope that the peace formula in Ukraine will not only remain Ukrainian, but will become part of a broader agreement,” he said.

Tolchak explained that Russia is not one of the countries named in the peace formula because it violates all the principles of international law, and that it is only possible to negotiate with Moscow if it is led by someone else.

Serbia is the only country besides Belarus that has refused to impose sanctions against Russia for launching an all-out war against Ukraine, as it did not want to damage relations with its friendly state. At the same time, Serbia wants to take advantage of financial aid from the EU, despite being criticized for being incompatible with Western countries in terms of foreign policy.

“Serbia respects traditional friendships,” the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, tried to justify himself.

Then it also became known that Serbian companies are exporting dual-use goods to Russia, which are the target of Western sanctions because they are used in Russian weapons in Ukraine – despite Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s promise that his country will not serve as a means of circumventing sanctions imposed by the United States (US) and the European Union (EU).
