Following the U.S. Treasury Department’s review of the activities of the current head of the Security and Information Agency of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, in the current months, he was declared non-grata for the United States of America. According to the Ministry of Finance, Vulin was involved in corrupt affairs to “advance his political agenda and personal interests at the expense of peace and stability in the Western Balkans.” Currently Serbia’s highest official under U.S. sanctions, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic immediately began bullying and insulting the White House.
This practice of insults and bullying of President Aleksandar Vucic towards Euro-Americans is known to all supporters of his political life, but Euro-Americans located in the Serbian capital through their embassies seem to keep it quiet and try not to give it the right weight! Perhaps in the name of greater diplomacy, but this approach does not seem to have any positive impact. President Vucic said after the imposition of American sanctions on the head of the BIA, Vulin: “I don’t see cocaine being found in Vulin’s office, but in the White House Cabinet.” The other reason was not at all hidden in Vucic’s response, namely the fact that Vulin is a staunch pro-Russian with a decades-long tradition of cooperation and coordination with the Russian Federation. “Sanctions were imposed on Vulin not because of criminality, but because of his relations with Russia,” President Vucic said. The next day, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Russian Federation Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandar Bocan-Harchenko, but not with U.S. Ambassador to Belgrade Chris Hill.
The Croatian magazine “Nacional”, in its article dedicated to the visit of the former Serbian Minister of Interior Aleksandar Vulin to the border point between Serbia and Hungary and his respectful meeting with the Hungarian police, describes the reaction of a trained dog when it perceives even the slightest trace of drugs. “All the Hungarian policemen shook hands with the distinguished guest from neighboring and friendly Serbia, except for one – a dog trained to detect drugs, who got nervous, jumped on all fours and started barking at Vulin.” Those present laughed at the behavior of an animal trained to react to the slightest trace of drugs.
Vulin is known in his career for the Western Balkans region as a strong pro-Russian connection in Serbia and as a racist and fascist. While Vulin was the Minister of Interior of Serbia, the Republic of Croatia had declared him a persona non-grata, so his movements on the territory of the Republic of Croatia were not allowed. This practice of Croatia, especially after the American sanctions, should be followed by other countries of the European Union.
This is not the only case with Vulin that the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic insults and bullies Euro-Americans in the most direct way, and he is still expected to come out of his Orthodox Serbian-Russian shell. Quint’s ambassadors to Serbia were insulted by the Serbian president in the most direct way. In April of the current year, Vucic had told them that “all of them are liars,” while President Vucic slandered Westerners in connection with the protests against violence that have been taking place in Serbia for some time, accusing them of being the organizers and main investors in these protests. “The West is significantly responsible for the problems in Serbia because our country refused to hand over Kosovo to them on a plate.” “Today I received information from sister information services from the East (Russia), which told me that these are efforts of the West for a “color revolution” in Serbia,” he explained.
All international efforts to silence Serbia’s anti-Western and very pro-Russian policies in the hope that its political course will change are a waste of time and destabilization for the Western Balkans. /TheGeopost
