Serbian politician Ilija Zivotic, in a statement recalled the time when Russia treated Kosovo and the Balkans differently from today.
Zivotic, who is a member of the Serbian Parliament from the party led by Aleksandar Vucic, says the Russian Army left Kosovo because it had no interest in staying in the Balkans.
He also pointed out that in 2005 the Russian Embassy in Pristina was opened by Sergei Lavrov.
“In 2003, the Russian Army left Kosovo because the Russian Federation no longer had an interest in having a military presence in the Balkans, then the March 2004 program took place, and in 2005 Sergei Lavrov opened the Embassy in Pristina,” he concluded.
