While the whole world is sending support to Ukraine and trying to force the Russian aggressor Vladimir Putin to cease fire with various sanctions, Serbia has remained on the sidelines in the form of sanctions and condemnations directly addressed to the Russian president. Vucic’s followers in Kosovo, who are the “voice of the Serbian people”, the Serbian List, a party that works as Vucic dictates them, again his time, they did not betray their ruler, they supported the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
At the beginning of the session, the majority of deputies of the Assembly of Kosovo expressed their support for Ukraine by holding banners in the form of the color of the flag of Ukraine with the inscription “We stand by Ukraine”.
Only Serbian MPs refused to hold banners in support of Ukraine, thus turning a blind eye to the terror of the Russian state, to the deaths of civilians and children, to thousands of Ukrainian refugees, to the cries and pleas of innocent people.
The same Serbian list, created by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, remained silent, with no condemnation sent directly to Putin, but, not surprisingly, the same party is supported by the “Serbian mother” Russia.
The political party of Russian President Vladimir Putin “United Russia”, supports the Serbian List and its efforts to work in Kosovo’s institutions to improve the position of the Serbian people in Kosovo, although the same Serbian people would be much better off without the Serbian List.
Only a couple of years ago, when the policy of Vucic and the Serbian List was no different than it is now, the Serbian List together with the then director of the Office for Kosovo Marko Duric held a meeting with the United Russia delegation led by Deputy Secretary General Sergei Zeleznjak.
A meeting in Russia with Putin’s party was held a month before the local elections, in which the Serbian List won in 10 municipalities with a majority Serb population. In the same year, 2017, the Serbian List, as they learned from Vucic, used all the ways to reach the goal, they won the local elections with intimidation and blackmail of Serbs, who, whether they wanted to or not, were forced to vote for this political entity.
Goran Rakic, who is at the head of the Serbian List, then thanked his Russian colleagues for their unequivocal support, emphasizing that strong ties with the Russian Federation are a great encouragement to the Serbian people in Kosovo.
As Rakic said at the time, the meeting with Putin’s party is proof of the unbreakable bond between the Serbian and Russian people.
While the then director of the Office for Kosovo, Marko Duric, thanked for the support that “United Russia” and the Russian people provide to the Serbian List.
