The pro-Russian Serbian party in Montenegro has joined forces with the pro-Russian Serbian party in Bosnia, according to the Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, and the Serbian New Democracy, Andrija Mandić, the president of the Bosnian entity Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, have signed an agreement and at the same time share their common positions. This on the occasion of Dodik’s visit to Montenegro, for which Mandic said it was an honor and a pleasure. While Dodik said that he was there “to support the peace, stability and development of Montenegro”.
“We want Montenegro to build the best relations with its neighbors. If you are not sensitive to their needs, then there is something wrong with you.” We had important talks. NSD and SNSD are sister parties. “Our relations are the best possible,” Mandic told reporters after the meeting with Dodik. Mandić points out that anyone who respects Dayton respects Republika Srpska and that anyone who respects Bosnia and Herzegovina cannot respect it without RS.
“We respect RS because we respect Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is the decision of the great powers, Dayton decided. Montenegro respects Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro respects the RS, which Bosnia and Herzegovina established with the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. That is why today I conveyed these messages of peace and support to Dodik,” Mandic added. He announced that he had spoken today about the economy, the “Buk Bijela” hydroelectric power plant and Lake Bilecko. Mandiq said he was ready to talk to all politicians in the region in the same way as he talks to Dodik.
Dodik said that he was in Montenegro as President of the RS “to support the peace, stability and development of Montenegro and its commitment to membership of the European Union”. People in the RS are said to be committed to the EU but opposed to NATO membership. “NATO has bombed the Republic of Serbia, Serbia and Montenegro without a Security Council decision. We respect Montenegro’s right to decide on all issues,” Dodik told reporters. “I wish everyone – Albanians, Bosnians, Montenegrins – all the best.” But my position requires me to support the Serbs wherever they are. Because we respect the Montenegrin community in the RS, members of that community were in power there. “We expect the Serbian nation to be represented in Montenegro in that way,” he said.
According to him, the Serbian community has made this impossible if Bosnia and Herzegovina is used to denigrate the RS, as Milo Djukanovic has done. “Through Mandic, we are developing the best relations with Montenegro. Through Dayton, the RS has the right to special relations with its neighbors and therefore wants to conclude an agreement with Montenegro. We believe that there is no reason for Montenegro not to accept it. The agreement was given to Mandic. It is nothing against Bosnia and Herzegovina, but it is an agreement in the field of economy, sports, education and culture. It will upset some in Sarajevo, but it is legal. “Montenegro should have done it earlier,” said Dodik /TheGeopost/.
