The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina today, by votes of its members Željko Komšić and Denis Bećirović, requested Eufor forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina to assist BiH police agencies in implementing the decision of the state judicial authorities in the case of Milorad Dodik and others.
“The Presidency of BiH formally requests the Eufor forces stationed in BiH to provide assistance to the BiH police agencies in implementing the decision of the BiH judicial authorities (case of Milorad Dodik and others),” the decision reads. As announced, this Decision will be delivered to the EUFOR Commander in BiH.
Serbian member and Chair of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, voted against this decision and announced an extraordinary session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, citing the vital national interest to repeal this decision.
The adopted Decision on the political situation in BiH states that the laws, decisions and resolutions of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska (NSRS), which seek to deny the subordination of entities to the sovereignty of BiH, constitute an attack on the constitutional and legal order of the country and endanger its peace and stability.
The constitutions of the entities, their laws and by-laws and all activities of the public authorities of the entity, they stress, must be in conformity with the Constitution of BiH and the laws of the State. The supreme interpreter of the Constitution of BiH is the Constitutional Court of BiH, whose decisions are final and binding throughout the territory of the country, the decision reads.
The Presidency of BiH, it adds, calls on all institutions of BiH to take the necessary measures, each in accordance with its competences, to protect the constitutional order of the State of BiH.
The Presidency of BiH called on the Council of Ministers of BiH to dismiss all leaders in the police and security agencies who have failed or refused to implement the decisions of the judicial authorities.
They also requested the Council of Ministers of BiH to introduce disciplinary and criminal liability for non-implementation of decisions of the judicial authorities. Cvijanović also voted against this decision.
