In the House of Culture of Gracanica last night, a Ceremonial Academy was held on the occasion of the Day of the Municipality of Gracanica. In addition to local officials and other representatives of social and political life in Kosovo, the Academy was attended by representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and numerous other guests from Belgrade, Subotica, Sombor, Sokobanja and Novi Sad and Montenegro, the media center in Caglavica writes.
The mayor of Gracanica, Ljiljana Subaric, also presented certificates of appreciation to representatives of institutions and organizations. She presented an award to the School of Ballet from Gracanica for an exceptional contribution to culture, for an exceptional contribution to the development of healthcare to the gynecologist of the hospital in Gracanica Dr. Milan Djordzevic from Gracanica, for a contribution to the development of the economy to entrepreneur Kranislav Perenic from Dobrotin, for long-term institutional support through various projects to the Minister for Communities and Return to Goran Rakic, she also handed the letter of appreciation to the vice-president of the Serbian List, Milan Radoicic, who did not attend the ceremonial academy, but the representative of the Serbian List, Igor Simic, received the letter of appreciation instead.
The mayor of Gracanica Ljiljana Subaric stated in her speech that the municipal leadership in the past period tried to, as she said, improve the quality of life of the citizens, but she also stated that there is still a lot to be done.
“Today we have a new high school center, we have a new modern school in Suvo Dol, and modernized sports fields and driveways in the largest parent schools, which we have equipped with sports equipment. Constant support to the health system was also not lacking. Our priority is to improve the working conditions of our healthcare workers and enable the provision of quality healthcare to our citizens. Improving the infrastructure is also our priority,” said Subaric and added:
“I believe that even in these difficult times, full of numerous trials, all together, we will have enough strength, energy and enthusiasm to make our Gracanica the way all of us citizens deserve it to be.” We have shown that we have enough will, knowledge and energy to turn plans into action. I am convinced that based on all the above and taking into account the importance of Gracanica, we will turn visions into reality. Everything we have done so far, we will continue at the same, and at a faster pace, so that our Gracanica is economically stronger, politically unique, so that every individual can be fulfilled. For Gracanica to be a place where many more people come than leave”.
The president of the Serbian List, Goran Rakic, also addressed those present.
