
The Geopost organizes today the conference “Balkan Disinfo 2025”, an important event addressing the challenges and threats posed by disinformation in the region and beyond.
The conference will bring together experts from the field, analysts and representatives of international institutions to discuss the impact of propaganda and coping strategies.
The conference, which according to the announcement will last the whole day, will include eight discussion panels.
The main topics to be covered are transatlantic disinformation, disinformation in the EU and the Baltic states, new challenges for fact-checking in 2025, Ukraine since Russian aggression, disinformation in the Balkans and Russian influence, disinformation in the Black Sea region and the role of artificial intelligence in disinformation.
The discussion will be enriched by speakers from America, Great Britain, Ukraine, Poland, Italy, Slovakia, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Finland, Latvia, North Macedonia and Spain.
The aim of the conference is to raise awareness of the dangers of disinformation and to discuss strategies to protect against manipulation by malicious actors.
