Serbia has been invited to participate as Guest of Honor at the China-CEEC 2027 Expo, which will be held in the city of Ningbo in Zhejiang Province, reflecting the increasingly close relations and stable cooperation between Serbia and China. The invitation was extended during the visit of the Serbian delegation to the fourth edition of this exhibition, led by the Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade, Jagoda Lazarevic.
According to Serbian media, the Serbian delegation held an official meeting with the delegation of Zhejiang Province led by Deputy Governor Lu Shan, who, on behalf of the Chinese authorities, expressed his appreciation for the current cooperation with Serbia and the desire to further strengthen bilateral relations.
Serbia’s invitation to be the guest of honor at one of the most important economic and trade events in China once again underlines the relations between the two countries and is seen as an opportunity to further deepen the economic and cultural partnership.
We recall that Serbia has supported China on the Taiwan issue, respects the “One China Policy” and has no official relations with Taiwan.
This position has been repeatedly confirmed by Serbian officials and is one of the main pillars of the close relations between Belgrade and Beijing. This stance is in line with China’s strategic interests and has helped to strengthen the political partnership between the two countries.
In turn, China has supported Serbia in international forums on other issues, including the non-recognition of the independence of the Republic of Kosovo. This explains why China and Serbia refer to their relationship as an “iron friendship” and why their cooperation has deepened in various areas.
