NATO will continue to provide political and practical support to Ukraine, the Secretary General of this organization, Jens Stoltenberg, promised in a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“I talked with President Zelensky about the military strengthening of Russia near the borders and on the territory of Ukraine. “NATO will continue to provide political and practical support to our esteemed partner,” Stoltenberg wrote on Twitter.
He also reiterated his call on Russia for “de-escalation and dialogue in order to find a peaceful solution”.
Kyiv and Western countries have recently expressed concern over the increase in “aggressive actions” of Russia near the borders of Ukraine. Russia has denied accusations of “aggressive actions” by the West and Ukraine, stating that it does not threaten anyone and does not intend to attack anyone.
Many countries are supplying Ukraine with weapons worth several billion dollars, including the United States, Great Britain, Canada, France, Poland, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Estonia and Lithuania.
