The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo has reacted after an incident that occurred outside the Kosovo Embassy in Berlin, where offensive labels with chauvinistic content in Serbian were placed on the identification plaque of the diplomatic facility.
According to the official announcement of the MFA, the graffiti contains nationalist and inflammatory slogans, including messages such as "No surrender" and "Kosovo is Serbia", as well as other appeals with a propagandistic and divisive connotation.
The ministry stressed that such actions constitute a violation of international norms and directly violate the inviolability of diplomatic missions.
"Immediately after identifying the case, the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Berlin notified the German authorities and is in constant contact with them to address the issue," the MFA's response states.
Kosovo's foreign policy institution described the incident as unacceptable, recalling that the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations guarantees the protection and security of diplomatic facilities.

According to the MFA, such acts harm the spirit of coexistence, respect and interstate relations, especially in a sensitive regional context.
The ministry recalled that offensive terms and narratives against Kosovo Albanians have been frequently used in public discourse in Serbia, including by senior state officials. In March last year, during a debate in the Serbian Parliament, the Speaker of Parliament Ana Brnabić referred to the media from Kosovo in offensive terms.
This use of offensive language came despite a court ruling in Serbia declaring the term "Shqiptar" politically incorrect and offensive.
Also, the Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia has consistently used narratives of "persecution" or "terror against Serbs", accusing Kosovo institutions of unilateral and discriminatory actions.
Representatives of this office have made harsh statements towards institutions in Pristina, contributing to the increase in verbal tensions in relations between the two countries.
Local organizations that monitor security and the information space have assessed that such cases are often accompanied by the spread of disinformation and divisive narratives, especially on platforms like Telegram, where various groups distribute nationalist and propaganda messages.
The MFA emphasized that it expects the German authorities to treat the case with due seriousness and to identify the perpetrators, in accordance with applicable laws.
Meanwhile, it is emphasized that Kosovo's institutions remain committed to maintaining good relations with partner states and promoting dialogue and mutual respect in the international arena.
