Moldovan military surveillance systems detected six drones in the country’s airspace during a major Russian attack on Ukraine on the night between November 24 and 25.
One drone was detected in the area of Vinohradivka-Vulkanešti, after which it moved towards the state border with Romania. It crossed the airspace at an altitude of approximately 1,500 meters.
Later, surveillance systems spotted five more drones crossing the airspace near Dondošeni, Orhei, Bender, Vadul lui Vodă, and Florešti. One of them crashed onto the roof of a house in the village of Nizhni Kukurešti.
The Ministry of Defense called on citizens “to report all foreign objects they notice and not to touch objects that have fallen to the ground, but rather to notify the authorities.”
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that during a large combined Russian attack on November 25, a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle may have entered the territory of Romania.
In the morning, Romania and Moldova confirmed violations of their airspace.
