On October 29, a group of 60 Serbs from Kosovo set off on foot towards Novi Sad in order to, as they say, support the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. On their march, they passed through Mrčajevci, and the locals, as you can hear on the video, did not welcome them as they thought, but – with juicy curses.
On October 29, a group of Serbs left Rudnica for Novi Sad, and they have a 315-kilometer journey ahead of them and a 10-day long hike.
The group includes Serbs from central Kosovo, from Gračanica, Kosova Polje, Badovac, Laplje selo, Dobrotin, Gušterica, as well as from Kosovo Pomoravlja – from Gornji Kusac, Straža, Ranilug, Parteš, but also from the north of Kosovo – from Leposavić, Severn Mitrovica, Zvečan, Zubin Potok, as well as from Štrpce.
They had already reached Mrcajevac, and while they were passing through the main street, quickly and looking straight ahead, they were met with a volley of insults from a local.
“You came here to walk. Go to Kosovo and walk. You don’t even know where you went,” said the man who recorded the video.
Otherwise, citizens from Kosovo pointed out that their motive is to be with their country and to show that they do not want to stop Serbia because, according to them, only a strong and advanced Serbia is ready to save its people in Kosovo.
They say that they heard the call of the President of Serbia that a large national gathering of Serbs who are against the blockades and stopping of Serbia is being planned in Novi Sad, and that this was their motivation to go.
However, if they thought that while passing through the settlements they would be greeted as students in the blockade, they were mistaken.
