The Serbian authorities have sent to custody the director of the Administration in the Municipality of Leposavic, Nikola Radimirovic, who was arrested yesterday together with his fiancee by the Serbian Police, KosovaPress sources inform.
“Radimirovic has been sent to detention in Belgrade on charges of ‘terrorism and violation of the Constitutional order in Serbia’, while his fiancee has been released”, says the same source.
This is not the first time that Serbia persecutes Kosovo Serbs. The Minister of Internal Affairs himself, Xhelal Sveçla, said that “the director of the Administration in the Municipality of Leposavic together with his fiancee are being held under arrest for the sole reason that Nikola is part of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo”.
According to Svečla, this arrest is unjust, and it is a proof of the destructive and destabilizing approach of the government of Serbia and revenge after the success of Kosovo achieved yesterday and their failure to stop the decision for Kosovo to be the host of the 2030 Mediterranean Games.
Radimirovic was arrested on Saturday by the Serbian police and taken to the Serbian police station in Raska. Serbia is constantly inciting tensions in Kosovo, until this action also came right before the Brussels meeting.
