For the second day in a row, Ukraine is being attacked by the aggression of the Russian state, where so far 137 people have been reported killed and over 100 thousand people displaced from their homes.
On Friday morning, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that “sooner or later, Russia will have to talk to us about the completion of this military operation.”
“We are on our land, we have the truth, they can not destroy our character. Russian ‘Caliber’ missiles are powerless against our freedom,” Zelensky said.
He further said that they are defending their only state, while western states have condemned Russian aggression through sanctions.
Serbia and Belarus are the only countries in Europe that have not condemned the action of Russian President Vladimir Putin to attack Ukraine.
Meanwhile, other countries in the region such as Kosovo, Albania, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina are the countries of the region that are aligned with the West.
US President Joe Biden said on Thursday that the new sanctions announced against Russia will take some time to feel their full impact on the Russian economy.
Comparing Putin’s aggression in Ukraine with that of Slobodan Milosevic’s regime in Kosovo, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, has decided to sanction 100 people and entities as part of further sanctions against Russia. / The Geopost /
