This action is a continuation of the actions of Serbian structures in order to destabilize the security situation. These actions have intensified in particular now ahead of the April 3rd parliamentary and presidential elections, which are expected to take place in Serbia.
Serbian President Vucic is trying to divert attention from the major problems he is facing by trying to divert attention to the topic of Kosovo. Through the “Srpska” List, he is trying to win votes from nationalist themes and pro-Russian elements in Serbian society.
As the war in Ukraine continues, Serbia remains the only country in Europe that has not imposed sanctions on Russia. Serbia has not banned the broadcasting of Russian state media, which have been described as broadcasters of Russian propaganda.
While the Serbian media continue to publish articles in support of Russia, protests in support of Russian aggression have taken place in Belgrade and Putin’s murals have been displayed, while Air Serbia has also recently been criticized for increasing the number of flights with Russia.
