Serbia will never be able to regain control over Kosovo and the war for it is already lost.
This is what the Russian media Vzglyad writes, adding that the Serbian leader of Bosnia and Herzegovina is looking for a precedent for Republika Srpska separation.
“‘Kosovo is Serbia’ in Russian-Serbian friendship is like a password and will remain so. But both we and the majority of Serbs understand well that Belgrade will not return control of Kosovo. Six million Serbs will not be able to control two million Albanians if they are willing to resist, regardless of the position of the United States. This war is already lost”, writes this media, Telegrafi reports.
This statement comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the annexation of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions in eastern Ukraine.
According to the portal, unlike Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who warned against recognizing these regions, Dodik will act in the opposite way.
“Vucic warned in advance of the non-recognition of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, referring to the unwillingness to confirm a precedent similar to that in Kosovo. “Dodik acted in the opposite way, due to the fact that he needs the opposite precedent and the separation of Republika Srpska from Bosnia and Herzegovina”, this portal emphasizes.
Last Friday, Putin signed documents for the annexation of four Ukrainian regions to the Russian Federation. This decision must be confirmed by the Constitutional Court of Russia and both houses of the Duma, after which it will become final.
Although Russian officials claim that annexation decisions only represent the will of the people expressed in referendums, many countries in the world, as well as organizations such as the United Nations, have emphasized that referendums and annexation decisions are illegal from an international point of view. /Telegrafi
