Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree for the recruitment of Russian citizens for military service from October to December 2025. The document was published on the official portal where regulations and laws are posted, reports index.hr.
According to the decree, from October 1 to December 31, 2025, 135,000 citizens of the Russian Federation between the ages of 18 and 30 who are not in the reserve and are liable for military service are to be called up.
The same decree also ordered the discharge of soldiers, sailors, sergeants, and non-commissioned officers whose term of service had expired.
The Russian government, regional authorities, and recruitment committees are responsible for implementing all necessary recruitment measures.
Federal ministers and heads of federal services and federal agencies are also obliged to ensure the recruitment of Russian citizens for military service who are employed in federal ministries and other federal executive bodies, as well as organizations subordinate to these institutions.
