
“Russia’s influence in the Western Balkans is evident and that Serbia should be treated as a state that is not based on European values,” said President Vjosa Osmani at the Munich Security Conference.
According to the announcement, Osmani spoke about the substantial progress that Kosovo is making in various fields and at the same time mentioned the challenges that our state faces with an aggressive and destabilizing neighbor.
“Russia’s influence through Serbia is evident and that Serbia should be treated as a state that is not based on European values. “Kosovo has always proved its constructiveness in the process”, it is said in the announcement of the Presidency of Kosovo.
She added that the process should focus on mutual recognition as the only solution that ensures long-term peace and stability in the region.
In addition to Osmani, Slovenian President Borut Pahor, EU Dialogue Representative Miroslav Lajcak, Foreign Ministers from the region, US Ambassador to NATO, the UK’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Stuart Peach as well as representatives of states, international organizations and civil society also took part in the discussion.
