Nikolai Patrushev, adviser to the President of Russia, disinforms that “the United States of America and Great Britain are probably responsible for the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline” and that “the West and the EU may commit new terrorist attacks similar to The Nord Stream sabotage.
Patrushev said:
“According to the available information, the Americans and the British are considering sabotaging the Nord Stream as one of many methods to achieve their economic interests. “New infrastructure facilities, including maritime fiber optic cables that enable global communications, could be the target of their attacks,” Patrushev said, according to RT.
Analysis:
Nikolai Patrushev’s statement about the alleged role of the US and the UK in the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline and possible new attacks on infrastructure is just another form of Russian propaganda, without evidence.
Patrushev’s accusations that the West is planning to sabotage key infrastructure such as fiber optic cables are another example of a Kremlin propaganda strategy aimed at defaming the US and UK and justifying Russia’s aggressive moves.
International relations experts and independent investigations have found no evidence that the US or the UK are behind planned attacks on critical infrastructure such as gas pipelines or communications cables./G.Venhari- The Geopost/
