Montenegro strongly condemns today’s attack on Kosovo police, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said last night, calling for de-escalation of tensions.
They expressed their condolences on the death of the police officer on the (“X”) network and wished for the recovery of the injured.
“We call for de-escalation of tensions and support the work of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) and NATO KFOR on the ground. We call for a full investigation,” the MFA said.
They stressed that those responsible must be brought to justice.
The escalation of violence in Kosovo and the terrorist attack on the Kosovo police were also condemned by the Democratic Socialist Party.
“We deeply regret the death of the Kosovo police officer, offer our condolences to his family and wish a speedy recovery to all injured members of the security forces,” the DPS said.
“We express our concern at the continued attempts to destabilise Kosovo, which have today resulted in further casualties on the Serbian side. We hope that the spiral of violence will not spread and that terrorist attacks in the country will stop,” the DPS said.
“We appeal to the continuation of the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo, and to find a solution through peaceful means”, they emphasize in the DPS./cdm.me/
