A protest against the regime of President Aleksandar Vučić is taking place today in the Serbian capital Belgrade.
Several dozen masked men dressed in black arrived at Pionir Park in Belgrade this morning. According to reports, they were hired by the Serbian president to intimidate protesters.
In addition, a large group of men dressed in black was filmed in “Zeleni Venac” moving towards the city center.
“Like an army,” reads the description of the video published on Instagram.
Meanwhile, videos of damaged tractors parked around Pionir Park during the day surfaced on social media yesterday evening.
Speculation quickly began to arise that the damage was caused by people returning from the students’ festive reception in Terazije. However, a video has now been released from the scene showing unknown men dressed in black.
On the other hand, the students, who have been protesting since the end of last year, began to express their displeasure when a shelter at the train station in Novi Sad collapsed, killing 15 people. Since then, they have gathered in large numbers in various cities in Serbia, particularly in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac and several other cities /Telegrafi/.
