Kosovo police have carried out an operation in two locations in the north of the country, seizing large quantities of weapons. One location belonged to Marjan Radojevic and the other to Zarko Cvetkovic.
Radojevic and Cvetkovic are on the wanted list because of the attack in Banjska on September 24.
One place where the weapons were seized was near the place “Tri solitera”, which is connected to Radojevic, while the other is in the street “Rudarska ceta “, which is connected to Cvetkovic.
The operation was carried out in cooperation with the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA).
Three AK-47 long guns, 60 bullets, one cartridge with 11 bullets, a revolver case and a military bag were found at the first location.
In the second location, a belt with 25 cartridges for a hunting weapon, 23 cartridges for a hunting weapon, a TT pistol with eight cartridges, three cases with eight cartridges each, two cartridges, 28 cartridges for long guns, 10 long gun cartridge combs (99 bullets), a box with 7×62 cartridges, four gun cleaners, a box with suspicious material were found.
In the third location, one long bayonet gun, one pistol with two cases with eight 7×62 cartridges, one black bag with gun cleaner, two boxes with 50 7×62 cartridges, three cases were found with eight cartridges, and a long hunting rifle with a bag.
Kosovo’s Interior Minister, Xhelal Svecla, said that Belgrade’s threats were being responded to by law and order in Kosovo.
“Thanks to our vigilant security forces and increased cooperation with our citizens in the north, more explosives, weapons and ammunition were seized again today in the north. Destabilizing threats from Belgrade are being met with law and order.”
